Responsibilities

Elwyn seeks a Campus Security Officer to provide safety and security services for Main Campus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Patrol interior and exterior of the Main Campus.
  • Security Checks on Elwyn vehicles to prevent theft and / or vandalism.
  • Locks and unlocks buildings that are not occupied 24 hours per day, and inspect, identify and respond to breach of security.
  • Inspect and gauge readings at the Powerhouse daily.
  • Inspect fire extinguishers and emergency lights daily.
  • Review and critique all fire drills with personnel and residents monthly.
  • Respond to all accidents and reports incidents, take photos, interview witnesses, collect physical evidence, notify all on-call management, complete investigations, draw conclusions, write reports and make recommendations.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all residents and personnel.
  • Monitors safe work practices.
  • Provides training in safety and security issues.
  • Performs related duties as directed
  • Respond to all emergencies on Campus (206666)
    • Medical – Assistance, transportation and ambulance escort
    • Fire – Assessment and suppression
    • Maintenance – Assessment and immediate emergency services or notification of on call Maintenance Personnel
    • Security – Intervene with intruders and interlopers.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Graduate or GED diploma required.
  • Valid driver’s license in State of residence required
  • First Aid and CPR and AED Training required
  • Two years in Security, Safety, Firefighting experience in an institutional environment preferred
