What is an on call remote customer service rep?

An On Call Remote Customer Service Rep is a customer support professional who works remotely and is available to respond to customer inquiries or issues as needed, often on a flexible or as-needed basis rather than a fixed schedule. These representatives typically handle phone calls, emails, or chat messages to assist customers with questions, resolve problems, and provide information about products or services. Being 'on call' means they are scheduled to be available during certain times but may only work when contacted or when customer demand arises. This role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and reliable internet access.
