Job description

Position Title: Plant Operator
The role of a Plant Operator is essential in maintaining operational efficiency and safety within the facility. This hands-on role combines equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, environmental compliance, and plant operations while offering long-term growth opportunities within an expanding organization. The operator will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing maintenance tasks while working in various environments, including field operations. Candidates should possess a strong background in food processing or similar industries, as well as the ability to respond effectively to on-call situations. This position offers growth opportunities for those looking to advance their careers in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Salary Range: $34.00-$38.00 / Hour DOE
Plant Operator Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment in the field
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components
  • Understand and comply with environmental permits and regulations
  • Operate and maintain compressors, boilers, and generators
  • Manage pump maintenance, including seal replacement
  • Utilize basic computer skills for data entry and reporting

Plant Operator Requirements:
  • 1+ years of industrial maintenance or plant operations experience
  • Electrical and mechanical expertise
  • Knowledge of pumps and ability to perform seal replacements
  • Experience with refrigeration systems is advantageous
  • Flexibility to respond to on-call situations
  • PLC knowledge is preferred

Benefits:
  • 120 hours of PTO and 40 hours of sick time for the first year, pro-rated based on start date
  • Annual PTO increases to 160 hours and 40 hours of sick time after the first year
