Job description

Department Assistant, Radiology

The Department Assistant, Radiology, supports the Radiology team acting as the film librarian and providing receptionist duties for the department.

Hours for this part-time position are Tuesday - Friday 8 a.m. - 12 noon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate, efficient and up to date film library records
  • Files permanent medical records
  • Track outside films/images that come in
  • Serves as a receptionist for the department including greeting visitors, answer departmental phone and taking messages
  • Serves as a point of contact for patients and their families providing information and resources
  • Maintains confidentiality

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / GED
  • 1 years administrative experience
  • Basic/Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Suite of products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in a clinic or hospital setting

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
