Job Summary:

This Project Risk Lead role is responsible for managing the project risk management program on this exciting project. Responsible for guidance, support, and SME technical expertise in project risk management (PRM) for the project across an audience of internal and external stakeholders. Managing and maintaining resilient customer facing relationships and strategically maintaining trust of project leadership, the role requires an influential, confident people person with the ability to drive focus on PRM, lead through encouragement and connect PRM with key interfaces across the project scope.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Lead the application of risk management processes and systems.
  • Facilitation of risk identification workshops and reviews both internally and client facing.
  • Support the development of risk responses and actions including monitoring and reporting through to risk closeout.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative risk analysis through assessment of the risks, interpret the results and apply analysis to assess appropriate allowances for risk as needed.
  • Provide intelligent advice, training, coaching and challenge to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparation of Framework and Client specific monthly reports.
  • Contribute to progress meetings, as required, in support of the Project/ Program Manager(s).
  • Regular interfacing and integration with the project controls team to maintain an aligned cost risk and schedule position with the Project Plan.
  • Report Risk Metrics and graphical displays including dashboards to Project Management.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously under pressure.

The role requires a strategic quick thinker with abilities to deliver messaging across all layers of the project team.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in engineering, Construction or Management (preferred) Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Construction or Management (minimum) Knowledge of International Risk Standards e.g. ISO31000, PMBok, and associated standards e.g. ISO 9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in Qualitative Risk
  • Ability to support and perform Quantitative Risk Management (QRA)
  • Experience facilitating risk workshops, risk reviews/ sessions.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in engineering and construction with minimum 5 years direct responsibility for management. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and personal resilience to working under pressure and with different styles of leadership.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills with multiple levels of Management Team player with ability to lead a multinational, multi-dimensional organization
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of energy
  • Experience with the holistic approach of risk management on Portfolio and/or Program level.
  • Preferably previous experience with industry-standard software for risk management/analysis programs such as SAFRAN, ARM and @Risk software
