Department: Operations / Dispatch

Reports to: Operations Manager / Branch Manager

Location: Houston, TX (in-office; some after-hours/on-call as needed)

Job Type: Full-Time (can discuss contract-to-hire)

About the Role

We're hiring a Houston-based Dispatcher to coordinate field personnel, job orders, and day-to-day execution for oil & gas and industrial projects. This role is the hub between the client, the field workforce, and internal recruitingkeeping schedules tight, communication clear, and problems solved fast.If you're calm under pressure, strong on the phone, and naturally organized, you'll do well here.

What You'll Do
  • Dispatch and schedule field personnel to job sites based on skills, location, and availability
  • Confirm worker readiness (site requirements, PPE, reporting instructions, travel details)
  • Communicate job details clearly by phone/text/email and reduce no-shows/fall-offs
  • Handle last-minute changes: call-outs, extensions, early releases, and urgent fills
  • Maintain accurate dispatch notes, worker status, and job updates in the ATS/dispatch tracker
  • Coordinate with recruiting to prioritize sourcing for urgent orders and upcoming projects
  • Provide clients with real-time updates on ETAs, replacements, and manpower coverage
  • Support incident/escalation communication (site issues, delays, conflicts) and route to leadership as needed
  • Assist with timesheet/time-tracking coordination and basic documentation follow-up
Required Qualifications
  • Dispatching experience (staffing, oilfield services, logistics, transportation, or similar)
  • Oil & gas / industrial environment familiarity (understands field expectations and urgency)
  • Strong communication skillsclear, direct, professional with clients and workers
  • High attention to detail (names, times, locations, requirementsno missed steps)
  • Comfortable with high call/text volume and rapid prioritization
  • Based in Houston, TX
Assets (Nice to Have)
  • Experience dispatching roles like: operators, drivers, techs, mechanical/pipe trades, turnaround crews
  • Familiarity with onboarding/compliance steps (drug tests, background checks, site orientations)
  • Experience using an ATS or dispatch tools (Breezy or similar)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
Schedule / Working Conditions
  • Standard schedule is MondayFriday with flexibility
  • Some early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekend/on-call coverage depending on project demand
  • Fast-paced environmentsuccess is measured by fill rate, response time, and client satisfaction
