To perform complex, often specialized, paraprofessional duties that require independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program. Work requires individual discretion in the application of policies and procedures. Duties increase in scope and complexity and consist mainly of departmental-program duties.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

· Oversees the administrative and support operations of the local parish office and coordinates office maintenance, repairs, and vendor services.

· Processes and maintains personnel forms and records for new and existing employees and provides information on personnel policies, procedures, and required training.

· Coordinates employee onboarding activities, including providing new employees with required policies, safety information, and access to state and department resources.

· Monitors office budgets, expenditures, inventories, and purchasing activities and maintains related financial and administrative records.

· Coordinates the procurement of supplies and services, vehicle and hotel rentals, mileage reimbursements, and vendor payments in accordance with applicable procedures.

· Compiles and submits payroll, leave, attendance, travel, and other required reports and serves as backup Time Administrator for the parish office as needed.

· Reviews payroll and timekeeping information for accuracy, including leave balances, overtime requests, on-call sheets, and daily time entries, and maintains supporting documentation.
