Job Title: Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) On Site

Location: My Pharmacist on Call
3426 Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90023
Pay: $68 $72 per hour + performance-based bonus

Schedule:
  • Monday Thursday: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM 2:00 PM
About the Role
We are expanding and opening another location, and we are looking for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) who is more than just an employee we are looking for someone who truly wants to lead, inspire, and take ownership of the pharmacy.
We want someone active, energetic, and engaged with the team the type of leader who walks the floor every morning, checks in with staff, keeps morale high and yes, maybe even leads 10 jumping jacks at 9 AM to wake everyone up (optional but encouraged ).

Our goal with your help is to build a pharmacy where patients feel cared for, operations run smoothly, and the team actually enjoys coming to work.

Key Responsibilities (Operational & Leadership):
  • Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and workflow efficiency
  • Ensure accurate dispensing, verification, and patient counseling
  • Lead and motivate pharmacy technicians and staff
  • Maintain a positive, productive, and professional work environment
  • Monitor prescription volume, staffing needs, and workflow improvements
  • Handle patient issues, escalations, and service recovery
  • Support growth initiatives as we expand to new locations
  • Maintain inventory oversight and controlled substance accountability
Legal & Compliance Responsibilities (PIC Duties):
  • Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge as defined by California Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Ensure pharmacy operations are compliant with state and federal pharmacy laws
  • Maintain proper recordkeeping, licensing, and regulatory documentation
  • Oversee controlled substance policies, security, and audits
  • Ensure proper staff supervision and technician ratio compliance
  • Implement and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs
  • Be accountable for compliance during inspections or audits
Qualifications
  • Active California Pharmacist License (Required)
  • Prior experience as PIC or strong leadership experience preferred
  • Strong operational mindset and ability to manage workflow
  • High energy, proactive leadership style
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced independent pharmacy setting
Compensation & Benefits
