Job Summary

Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Union seeks caring and reliable Preschool Substitute Teachers to provide instructional and classroom coverage on an asneeded basis. The substitute teacher supports a safe, nurturing, and faithcentered learning environment while implementing lesson plans and daily routines established by the classroom teacher.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise preschool students and ensure a safe, supportive classroom environment
  • Follow lesson plans and daily schedules provided by the regular teacher
  • Support students' social, emotional, academic, and spiritual development
  • Maintain appropriate classroom management and encourage positive behavior
  • Model Christian values and support the mission of Catholic education
  • Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student needs or concerns
  • Follow all school, diocesan, and state early childhood policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively with young children
  • Dependability, flexibility, and professionalism
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working with preschool or early childhood students
  • Early Childhood Education coursework or certification
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Working Conditions:

  • Oncall substitute assignments
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Indoor and outdoor supervision
