Job Description-Floor Tech

  1. Ideal candidate must be able to perform the follow job requirements:

    Sweeps, dust mops and wet mops floors, scrubs, strip, buff, wax, polish and maintain all floor surfaces by operating buffer and automatic scrubber. 2. Cleans equipment after use and maintains in proper working condition, and stores same properly upon completion of duties. 3. Reports on equipment and/or furniture in need of repair to immediate supervisor. 4. Keeps utility and custodial room clean and orderly. 5. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas. 6. Maintains all carpet areas by cleaning, vacuuming rugs, carpets. 7. Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Wash windows, frames, door panels, sills and ledges inside and out. 8. Moves furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies as directed. 9. Observes and follows all safety rules while performing each duty. 10. Other duties as assigned. 11. Always on-call after hours for emergencies.

Job Requirements

(EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The ideal candidate must be flexible and have the ability to multi task. Great customer service skills are a must!
