Job Requirements
  • Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
  • BLS certification through AHA required
  • At least 1.5 years of Level I, Level II, or tertiary care experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a large hospital setting with 450+ beds
  • Strong Med/Surg nursing experience preferred in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and adapt to floating assignments
  • Comfort with Epic charting, patient monitoring, and common hospital equipment
Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population in an acute care setting
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, care planning, and ongoing patient monitoring
  • Manage and support patients with chronic and acute conditions such as COPD, diabetes, CHF, sepsis, stroke, GI disorders, and more
  • Provide care for patients undergoing procedures including colonoscopies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, bronchoscopy, and minor surgeries
  • Administer and monitor IV therapy, heparin drips, insulin drips, feeding tubes, wound vacs, chest tubes, and other common Med/Surg therapies
  • Use Epic, Pyxis, IV pumps, telemetry, Accucheck, SCDs, and other unit equipment safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support smooth patient flow across the unit
