Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated RN for a travel assignment in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Fort Wayne, IN. This role requires specialization in both Pediatrics and PICU, involving critical care for pediatric patients aged 3 days to 18 years. You will be working in a dynamic, acute care environment with opportunities to float to NICU during the contract.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Travel
  • Provide care for pediatric patients aged 3 days to 18 years, including those with common childhood illnesses and COVID-19.
  • Deliver high-level care in PICU, including managing respiratory issues, traumas, donations, seizures, and poisoning.
  • Handle a range of cases in Pediatrics, including trauma, respiratory infections, general surgical cases, and birth defects.
  • Utilize EPIC and Pyxis for computerized charting and medication systems.
  • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in Peds and 1:2 in PICU.
Requirements of the RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Travel
  • 2+ years of experience in both Peds and PICU.
  • BLS and PALS certifications through AHA are required.
  • Experience with EPIC charting system and IV skills is preferred.
  • Experience in a 400+ bed facility with L2 trauma capabilities.
  • Must hold a compact or IN RN license.
