Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Ophthalmology
Schedule: 36 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday days with on-call responsibilities for evenings, nights, and weekends.
Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Requirements:
- RN License (New York State License ONLY)
- Two (2) years of operating room experience
- Ability to scrub and circulate
- Experience with cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS Certification (Preferred)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients of all ages in both scrub and circulating roles within the ophthalmology operating room.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Maintain sterile field and assist during surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient condition and provide post-operative care as needed.
