SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
DIVISION OF COMMUNICATION SCIENCES AND DISORDERS
SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
West Virginia University School of Medicine - Health Professions located in Morgantown, WV, is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track (12-month) Assistant Professor, Department of Human Performance, Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders to contribute to a well-established program with a tradition of excellence in teaching, research/scholarship, and service. This faculty member will contribute to the mission of WVU and the program in Communication Sciences and Disorders housed within the School of Medicine.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical services in the WVU Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic to diverse population with primary expertise related to acquired communication disorders (cognition, acquired speech and language, and/or voice disorders). In addition to service provision, the successful candidate will train students for the delivery of speech-language pathology services. Active engagement in Division, University, and professional service activities is also expected including participation in Division and committee meetings as well as recruitment and review of applicants to the master's in speech-language pathology programs.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following criteria for consideration:
• Master of Science/Arts in Speech Language Pathology
• West Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license or eligible for a West Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
• Preference for those with previous experience in clinical supervision.
All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.

Faculty members in the Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders are afforded a differential workload allowing for customization of expectations based on research expertise, clinical/teaching expertise, and service obligations. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
