To thrive as an On Call Biomedical Engineer, you need a solid background in biomedical engineering, troubleshooting skills, and a relevant degree such as a BS in Biomedical Engineering or a related field. Familiarity with medical equipment, diagnostic tools, and maintenance management systems, along with certifications like CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician), is often required.
