Responsibilities

Peraton is currently hiring an experienced Network DevOps Developer for its' U.S. Army Europe Regional Cyber Center (RCC-E) program.

Location: Wiesbaden, Germany

Role & What You Will Do:

  • You will need to have strong expertise in Ansible automation to assist the team to design, develop, automate, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure automation across multiple teams within the RCC-E.
  • Possess strong experience in Network Automation technologies such as Ansible, DevOps practices, automation frameworks, cloud technologies, and software development using multiple programming languages.
  • Have expertise in building scalable solutions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, application integrations, and supporting Agile delivery teams.
You will:
  • Need to be familiar with Agile methodology for DevOps functions
  • Design, develop, and maintain network automation solutions using Ansible and related automation frameworks.
  • Create and manage Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and inventories for network devices and infrastructure services.
  • Automate network provisioning, software upgrades, configuration management, compliance validation, and operational workflows across Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade network devices.
  • Integrate network automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains.
  • Develop reusable automation modules, scripts, and APIs to support network operations.
  • Manage version-controlled infrastructure configurations using Git.
  • Collaborate with network architects and engineers to standardize network deployments.
  • Implement automated testing and validation of network changes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues across network environments.
  • Document automation workflows, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor automation platform performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Kubernetes cluster design, deployment and management of clusters / containers would be a plus.
  • Ability to build reusable APIs, microservices, and platform components is a plus.
  • Ability to create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Kubernetes manifests is a plus.
  • Develop Helm charts and deployment templates for application teams.
  • Automate provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows.
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications, scripts, APIs, and automation tools using:
    • Python, Java, VB.NET / Visual Basic, JavaScript / TypeScript, C#, PowerShell , SQL, YAML , Bash/Shell scripting
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry, Palantir Gotham, or Maven is a plus
  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI/ML workflows is a plus
  • Assistance in automating scripted implementation of secure configurations for network devices: -aligned with the STIGs and other DOD enterprise security standards.
  • Manage user roles, access policies, and authentication integrations with AUDS, LDAP, SSO and SAML.
  • Support the RMF team in providing POA&Ms, STIG reports, audit readiness through detailed logging, reporting and configuration documentation such as diagrams, SOPs, TTPs and Basic user guides.
  • Documentation & Change Management: Maintain up-to-date architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures; participate in formal change-control processes.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience (TESA / DoD 8140 DCWF 621 Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR Associate’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience; OR High School diploma with 12+ years of relevant experience
Required Certifications:

Must possess CASP+ (SecurityX) OR one of the following approved certifications for DCWF Code 621:

  • CCNA;CCNP;CCSP;GCIA;GCED;GDSA;GFACT

In addition, candidates must possess one of the following applicable DoD / military trainings or equivalent certifications:

  • M03385G;M10395B;M223854;JNCIS;CCNA;CCNP
Required Technical Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years designing, building, and troubleshooting Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) and Power Automate flows.
  • Strong software engineering experience in Python, including object-oriented programming, testing, and API integrations
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes environments
  • Experience developing Ansible playbooks for infrastructure and network automation
  • Strong understanding of Git-based workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews in collaborative engineering environments
Clearance Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required
Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
