Job description

Ready to help shape the future of data at Cass County Electric Cooperative? We're looking for a full-time Data Specialist to join our Information Technology team at our headquarters in Fargo, ND.
In this role, you'll play an important part in how we collect, validate, and use advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) data. Your work will help keep our metering systems accurate, reliable, and connected to the billing systems our members count on every day. You'll also support meter data projects, software upgrades, system integrations, and process improvements that help move the Cooperative forward.
If you enjoy solving problems, working with technology, and finding meaning in the details, this could be a great next step in your career. The Data Specialist role offers a pathway into future growth opportunities in data analytics and data engineering.
What will help you succeed:
  • An associate's degree in computer science, data analytics, information technology, or a related technical field; closely related, progressive work experience may substitute for a portion of the education requirement
  • Electric utility experience is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to review, validate, and reconcile large volumes of data
  • Comfort using technology, databases, reporting tools, and software applications to process, organize, and interpret data
  • The ability to effectively use programming language
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
