Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a general gastroenterologist to join a collegial group of providers consisting of three physicians and three physician assistants providing general gastroenterology services in both the ambulatory and inpatient setting. Consult service is managed by an employed hospitalist group, with dedicated procedure days in a new endoscopy suite conveniently located on the Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital campus.

The unit has the capability to support Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) procedures and ERCP procedures with stenting capability. The Endoscopy suite also has GERD clinic capability with manometry cart to perform pH impedance studies, anal-rectal manometry, SmartPill, and Bravo studies. We are seeking a highly motivated general GI specialist to contribute to the THMA region.

Practice Highlights:

  • Our GI providers have extensive community ties and several years of experience
  • Monday - Friday schedule with equitable call coverage (practice and ED)
  • Anesthesiology and RN support
  • Outpatient screening and diagnostic procedures
    • Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Inpatient and outpatient coverage provided
  • 100% consult service only
  • Quick ramp-up with established patient backlog

  • 190-degree scopes (EGD/Colonoscopy/ERCP)

Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an accredited program
  • Completion of certified residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
