Job description

Olsten is currently partnering with a local client to fill a Forklift Operator position in Lumberton, NC. This is a long-term temporary role offering an opportunity for steady employment. As a Stand Up Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently operating the machinery, utilizing hand controls to maneuver forks and pallets within the racking systems. Your duties will include order picking, material loading and unloading, and ensuring safe transport throughout the facility.
** MUST have experience with high reach stand-up forklifts **
Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver products according to schedule
- Follow instructions for locating or relocating products
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Re-stack or build pallet loads when required
- Utilize warehouse management system effectively
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance on forklifts
- Maintain forklift battery watering system
- Provide support to forklift drivers in other departments
- Maintain professional communication with team members and stakeholders
- Adhere strictly to safety and operational protocols
- Remain flexible and adaptable to changing assignments
- Meet attendance standards consistently
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience operating Stand Up Reach Forklifts
- 2-3 years of experience operating Sit Down Forklifts
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Capable of standing for extended periods (up to 9 hours per day)
- Proficient in using scan guns or gladiators
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong English language skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and requirements
We offer positions on 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM). Some overtime and weekend work may be required.
Compensation:
- 1st shift: $18.00/hr. plus overtime.

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
