Job Description
Know, practice, and comply with all safety rules and procedures. Maintain communication and teamwork to produce a product of the highest quality by the most effective process.
performed independently or under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. Works with minimal
supervision and may have to instruct or oversee workers in this class. Uses independent judgment and exercises
discretion in executing their duties. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality.
Essential Functions
1. Must be capable of making mechanical and electrical control repairs to the facility and its systems including fabrication, installation, alignment and adjustment of components, working to close tolerance. Will be required to replace cord and plug sensors, adjust sensors, and make de-energized terminations as directed by supervisor.
2. Installation and repair of steam, water, or sewer piping systems, hydraulic/pneumatic piping, control and reservoir systems, air handling and atmospheric control systems, including ductwork and air filtration.
3. Includes Welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
4. Utilization of precision measuring equipment such as dial indicators, levels, micrometers, multimeters, etc.
5. Will make repairs on rolling stock and molds, including mold plate changes and cleaning as required and assigned by supervisor.
6. Will be required to perform duties of other classifications such as oiling, electrical, or machinist work as directed by supervisor.
7. Will perform all other facility work such as door, wall, floor, ceiling, and roof repair as directed by supervisor.
8. Will perform facility painting and carpentry work as directed by supervisor.
