Position Summary:
The Crane Rigger is responsible for safely rigging, signaling, and assisting in the lifting and movement of rig moving and frac equipment at active job sites. This role requires expertise in rigging techniques, crane signaling, and the ability to work at heights in demanding field environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely rig and signal loads for crane operations involving rig moving and frac equipment
  • Select, inspect, and utilize rigging equipment (chains, slings, shackles, straps, tag lines) based on load requirements
  • Communicate clearly with crane operators using standard hand signals and radio communication
  • Use tag lines to control and stabilize loads during lifting operations
  • Secure loads properly, ensuring correct weight distribution and lifting points
  • Climb derricks, rig structures, and equipment up to 50-60 feet while utilizing proper fall protection
  • Support rig mobilizations, demobilizations, and frac fleet moves
  • Assist with additional field tasks, including rigging support for trucks and other equipment as needed
  • Maintain and transport rigging equipment to and from job sites
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in rigging and signaling within oil & gas, rig moving, or similar field operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of rigging equipment, load securement, and lifting techniques
  • Familiarity with crane hand signals and safe lifting practices
  • Ability to work at heights (50-60 feet) with proper fall protection equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail in high-risk environments

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to climb and work at heights up to 60 feet
  • Capable of bending, lifting, twisting, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Work Schedule:
  • Flexible schedule required, including extended hours, weekends, and overnight travel based on job demands
