Job description

Title: Roustabout - Pusher

Compensation (DOE) : $27 - $35

Summary/Objective: The Roustabout Pusher will be responsible for overall daily operation and construction.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate the ability to prepare site and install storage tanks, and related plumbing and piping.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and coordinate multiple crews at multiple work sites while maintaining crew operations
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete reporting tickets in a timely and completed fashion
  • Demonstrate the ability to design, fit, & assemble threaded and grooved piping
  • Demonstrate the ability to design, fit, & assemble SS tubing
  • Demonstrate the ability to install flanged piping of various sizes and complexities Demonstrate the ability to appropriately finish job sites such as reinstalling process equipment, dyke raking, housekeeping, etc.
  • Working knowledge of pressurized vessel and piping principles.
  • Working knowledge of load securement requirements.
  • Knowledge of basic oilfield safety requirements, and applicable safety regulations, and pass a proficiency exam to demonstrate knowledge retention.
  • Working knowledge of compression construction, design and plumbing.
  • Prefer proficiency in operating back hoe, skid steer and aerial-lift equipment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to join pipe per operator requirements, and best practices

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Roustabout Construction & Maintenance: 1 year
  • Preferred license or certification: CDL Class A
  • Pushers-must have valid driver’s license and meet company insurance standards—CDL preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation and maintain a clean driving record (for drivers)
  • Must be able to complete all safety requirements of the job
  • Must complete all required paperwork within appropriate time frame
  • Be willing to obtain CDL in 6 months upon hire.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner always in the execution of their duties.
  • Maintains acceptable personal hygiene and professional appearance and is clean shaven daily.
  • Required to embrace customer software requirements and participate in data logging as deemed necessary
  • Required to attend all safety meetings unless approved otherwise by Manager.
  • Must be able to maintain the cleanliness of all company equipment and vehicles.
  • Must be able to work weekends when required.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening.
  • Must have your own housing.
  • Work on continuous improvement efforts for self, subordinates, and customers
  • Demonstrate proficiency in adhering to Federal, State, Local, Customer and all company Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.

Work Environment:

The company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work outside in all weather conditions. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, cold weather, extreme heat, sustained noisy environment and vibration.

Physical Demands:

Must be physically able to climb stairs, sit, stand, walk, carry, push, and lift up to 75 lbs., pulling, kneeling, bending, twisting, repetitive wrist and hand movements for extended periods of time, and perform numerous tasks that require physical agility and manual dexterity as well as mental acuity throughout shift.

Position type and expected hours of work:

Must be flexible. The typical schedule is M-F. Some weekends/holidays are required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (or equivalent education and technical experience)
