Description:

Job summary: The Roustabout Pusher is responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily activities of a 1–2-person roustabout crew engaged in oilfield construction, maintenance, repair, and site services. This position provides hands-on leadership in the field while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee all roustabout activities of your 1–2-man crew of laborers that includes but is not limited to; equipment setup, maintenance, and site cleanup.
  • Lead and direct a team of roustabouts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Assign tasks to roustabouts, prioritize work orders, and ensure that resources are allocated effectively to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work sites and equipment to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards for roustabout operations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities and address project requirements.
  • Prepare reports, work orders, and documentation related to roustabout activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to roustabout personnel, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, logistics, and maintenance, to optimize resources and support project objectives.
Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 3+ years of roustabout work experience.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of roustabouts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of roustabout operations, equipment, and procedures in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in safety regulations and procedures related to roustabout activities, including equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to analyze issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
