Job description

General Summary:

MAC Reliability Services is a division of McPherson Oil that specializes in industrial lubrication services. The ideal candidate is experienced in the field of industrial lubrication services with a proven track record of quality craftsmanship, safe work performance, professionalism and leadership. This position will give the ideal candidate an opportunity to advance their skill set through leadership opportunities and training.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead team of technicians while performing oil filtration and dehydration service projects on bulk oil products, hydraulic, gearboxes, turbine, and circulating oil systems
  • Serve as main on-site point of contact with customers, communicating project needs and progress in a proactive and professional manner
  • Assist with and execute high-velocity oil flushing, varnish removal, and confined space reservoir cleaning projects as needed.
  • Conduct in-plant lubrication services, including oil changes, lubrication routes, and equipment installation.
  • Operate pumps, filter carts, and other related lubrication equipment.
  • Collect oil samples and assist with basic condition monitoring activities.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and customer site requirements including conducting JSAs and BBS observations.
  • Maintain service equipment, tools, and work areas in clean and safe conditions.
  • Execute preventative maintenance on service equipment and vehicles.
  • Accurately complete service documentation and field reports.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to assist McPherson Companies operations including but not limited to maintenance on tanks and equipment.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Responsible for the completion of special projects or the assignment of other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Requirements:

  • 7+ Years Experience performing lubrication services such as filtration, dehydration, and oil flushing in an industrial environment including leading crews
  • Experience working in industrial environment including pulp & paper, metals manufacturing, power generation, petrochemical, and oil & gas preferred.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid State Issued Drivers License
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with pumps, hoses, valves, and tools
  • Ability to work safely in industrial settings, including confined areas and elevated platforms
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overnight, overtime and travel to customer sites
  • Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Basic computer and office skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Industry certifications including MLT / MLA
  • High Velocity Oil Flushing and/or chemical cleaning experience
  • Vibration Analysis Data Collection
  • Pipefitting & Millwright experience
  • Prior safety training (TWIC, OSHA 10/30, refinery safety, etc.)

Working Environment:

The work of this position is performed in both inside and outside environments in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. The position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, and climbing are required. In this position, associates may be exposed to hazardous materials, vapors, fumes, and extreme weather conditions. Proper PPE is provided for employees working in these conditions.
