Job description

CDL Driver for Atlantic Ambulance

Atlantic Health System is seeking a CDL Driver for Atlantic Ambulance in Livingston to cover full time shifts.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensures day to day transportation services for Atlantic Health are completed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule and available for overtime, special events and Holidays as needed by the department
  • Demonstrates good customer service skills, and respect to all riders, including handling grievances professionally.
  • Must be in full Uniform including a visible ID badge, key peg and maintain a professional appearance
  • Vehicles are to be cleaned inside and out daily, fueled after each shift, and all required equipment is in vehicle
  • Oil and all fluid levels must be checked before the shift and Rig Check Sheets are to be completed and turned in daily
  • Swipes in and out on time
  • Is on time for routine scheduled stops
  • Completes tasks and assignments in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
  • Work closely with other Drivers and communicates as needed to ensure a timely, efficient service
  • Adheres to all Atlantic Health and Atlantic Ambulance Policy and Procedures
  • Completes all required training and maintains all required certifications and licenses
  • It is the responsibility of the employee to keep all DOT Physical appointments and NJ Driver's License requirements up to date.
  • Contributes to a team environment
  • Must attend all Transportation staff meetings

Qualifications:

  • Required: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. New Jersey CDL license A or B free of restriction with passenger endorsement required
  • Preferred: 1. 3 years' experience in professional driving.
