Job description

Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is New England's largest one stop source and distributor of commercial building products including acoustical ceiling systems, architectural doors and hardware, drywall, steel framing, insulation, and exterior systems.
A Driver without a CDL operates company vehicles (10,000-25,999 lbs.) to safely transport materials to and from designated locations. This role also supports warehouse and labor operations as needed, ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver materials to job sites and customer locations
  • Load, unload, secure, and protect materials to prevent damage during transport
  • Inspect vehicles daily (e.g., tires, lights, brakes, fluids) and report maintenance issues promptly
  • Maintain required delivery documentation, logs, and receipts in compliance with DOT and company regulations
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and changes (no mobile phone use while driving)
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Assist with warehouse operations, including staging, loading, and inventory support, when not driving
  • Prepare vehicles for upcoming deliveries as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Valid Class C or D License
  • Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment physical and drug screening
  • Clean and approved driving record (subject to annual MVR review)
  • Ability to meet DOT and company compliance requirements
  • OSHA 10 Certification (required for certain job sites)
  • Experience handling building materials preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain)

Requirements
