An Oil Rig Welder is a skilled tradesperson responsible for welding and repairing metal structures on offshore and onshore oil rigs. They ensure the structural integrity of drilling platforms, pipelines, and other equipment by using techniques like arc welding and MIG/TIG welding. The job often requires working in harsh environments, sometimes at great heights or underwater. Welders must follow strict safety protocols and industry standards to prevent accidents and equipment failures. This role demands physical stamina, technical expertise, and certifications in welding and safety procedures.
