Job description

Senior HR Readiness & Mobilization Advisor

The Senior HR Readiness & Mobilization Advisor provides high-level support to the HR Readiness & Mobilization Manager in overseeing HR operations for new and existing projects, particularly in international or complex locations. This position serves in offering strategic guidance, conducting readiness assessments, and ensuring compliance across staffing, training, and mobilization efforts.

Essential Functions

Mobilization & Location Readiness: Conduct on-site and virtual assessments of new and existing locations. Analyze and report on local labor laws, recruitment requirements, and visa/work permit processes. Coordinate with manning agencies to ensure seamless onboarding and crew changes. Support legal, cultural, and operational HR evaluations. Lead post-deployment reviews and operational audits.

HR Start-Up & Project Execution: Partner with Rig HR teams to implement standardized HR policies and procedures. Support onboarding, training, and development of new HR team members. Build ramp-up/down workforce plans and cost budgets alongside Rig and HR leadership. Assist in maintaining HR documentation, compliance, and certification standards.

Strategic & Operational Support: Contribute to tenders and proposals with HR insights and data. Maintain monthly readiness reports and track progress against goals. Provide support for internal and external HR audits.

Team Collaboration & Communication: Serve as a key liaison between Rig Team HR and the HR Mobilization Manager. Work cross-functionally with departments such as Legal, Talent Acquisition, and Operations.

Position Characteristics

Team Role: Supporting HR Mobilization Manager and Rig HR teams. Backup Role: Designated backup to HR Mobilization Manager. Travel: International travel may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. 5-7 years of HR operations experience in international or remote settings. 3-5 years of project management experience. Excellent research, planning, and communication skills. Strong self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS tools. Industry experience in energy, maritime, or oil and gas is a plus.
