Salary Range: $24.81 to $29.45 + 10% shift differential

Job Description
Perform assigned work to rig, move, install, and erect machinery and equipment involved in plant operations. Coordinate operations with electricians, maintenance machinists and other trades involved in erecting, dismantling, reassembling, etc., to expedite work and avoid delays. Perform general building repairs and maintenance work on heating, air conditioning and plumbing systems. Diagnose and repair basic functions of hoists, cranes, and other material handling equipment. Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment. Do sheet metal, carpentry, concrete, and roofing repairs requiring a fundamental knowledge of the trade basics involved. Work from drawings, diagrams, specifications, job layouts, sketches, and verbal instruction. Use tools, materials, and equipment typical of the trades. Install and maintain all water, air, gas, and sewer lines. Inspect and recharge all fire extinguishers. Maintain air compressors, all gas fired ovens and heaters in the shop and office. Instructions, assistance, and guidance provided on difficult assignments. Work is subject to inspection and check. Ten thousand (10,000) hours of experience required to become thoroughly familiar with various basic trade fundamentals as applied in connection with millwrighting and with trade techniques, methods and procedures, materials, plant piping layout and equipment to attain proficiency in performing work. Performs other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Requires a vocational or high school graduate with courses in mechanical drawing, shop mathematics, shop practices and other related vocational school courses plus a formal on-the-job training or equivalent program.
Must be a sole US citizen.
