Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 2 Temp Control or Power based in Shakopee, MN.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.

We keep our customers' worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

What you'll do:

  • You'll be based out of our Shakopee, MN. service center.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.

  • You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

  • High School diploma/GED

  • 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

  • Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.

  • Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

  • Availability to work the assignedschedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts

  • Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

  • Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level

  • Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

  • Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
