Job description

Job Overview
This is an entry level position to operate, maintain and provide basic repairs to the pumping units that Go Coil II uses for its coiled tubing service delivery. The Equipment Operator is proficient in these pumping units and may require guidance from more senior personnel such as the supervisor or maintenance manager for non-routine or complex issues. Incumbents in this position have a comprehensive knowledge of jobsite operations to include, rig-up, rig-down, well slides, and continued coiled tubing operations.

Duties

  • Operates the pumping equipment during coiled tubing operations under routine conditions.
  • Assists in maintaining the equipment and performing basic repairs as directed by the supervisor.
  • Completes maintenance inspections and submits paperwork such as pre-job and post job inspections that is accurate, complete, and timely without being prompted by supervisor.
  • Applies good housekeeping techniques around pumping equipment as well as inside the pumping control room.
  • Perform a pass down to the relief pump operator with the current operational status of the pumping equipment.
  • Monitors the pumping unit conditions during coiled tubing operations to alert senior personnel of equipment issues.
  • Advises junior crew members with jobsite coiled tubing services such as rig-up, continued operations, and rig-down.
  • Able to take simple directions and open to constructive feedback.
  • Uses the โ€œbuddy systemโ€ to keep fellow employees out of harmโ€™s way.
  • Demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible serving as a role model for all personnel.

Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of rig-up/rig-down sequence in coiled tubing operations.
  • Prior experience operating industrial pumping and blending units in the Oil Field Services industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in collaborating with colleagues and in creating a team working environment.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule and remain fit for duty.
  • Ability to meet the physical, language, mathematical and reasoning ability requirements of the position.
