AIRCRAFT A&P MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN LOCATION: SAN ANTONIO TX AREA NOTE: MUST HAVE - A&P LISCENSE Top Dog Engineers is searching for Qualified A&P Mechanics, who possess a valid A&P License. We have a fantastic opportunity, in a small shop just outside of San Antonio Texas. Most of our General Aviation Aircraft on our field, are Mooney, Piper and Cessna type aircraft. THIS IS A CONTRACT (1099) POSITION - EXCELENT PAY - $25 - $45 PER HOUR! PENDING EXPERIENCE. GREAT ATMOSPHERE - ESTABLISHED REPAIR STATION WITH AIRPORT FIELD CUSTOMERS AND MULTI-STATE FLY-IN CUSTOMER BASE. 3 to 5 years' experience, able to take direction, advice and be proactive in making repairs, oil changes, pulling panels, performing annuals, installing new brakes, tires, etc. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on aircraft to ensure they are in safe and working condition
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems, including airframe, and powerplant
  • Repair or replace faulty components using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Follow federal aviation regulations and company procedures to ensure compliance and safety
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly in the computerized maintenance management system
  • Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to complete repairs or modifications
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to prevent future issues
  • Keep up to date with industry advancements and attend training sessions as required
Skills:
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, including airframe, and powerplant
  • Familiarity with federal aviation regulations (FARs) and industry standards
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for aircraft maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with complex machinery
  • Ability to perform lifting and work in physically demanding environments
Qualifications and Expectations:
  • Work independently with limited supervision
  • Follow verbal and written instruction
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively with others
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, bend, kneel, reach overhead, push pull, and climb ladders or stairs.
  • Valid Driver's License required; must have reliable transportation.
Experience & Other:
  • Aircraft maintenance: 3 years (Required)
  • Work Location: In person
  • Schedule: 8-10 Hours Day. Some Weekends Required on Emergency Basis
  • This is a Full Time Contract (1099) Position.
