The COO role serves as the Principal's key operational leader, overseeing all financial, legal, operational, and strategic matters across the portfolio.Key Responsibilities:- Portfolio & Asset Management: Oversee day-to-day management of residential, commercial, office, and development properties across CA and FL- Monitor rent rolls, lease expirations, vacancy rates, and proactively surface risks and opportunities- Lead all acquisition and disposition activity โ€” coordinating with brokers, escrow, title, insurance, and lenders through close- Oversee all active construction and renovation projects โ€” timelines, budgets, payments, and contractor performance- Financial Oversight: Supervise bookkeeping team and external accountants (domestic and international)- Own accounts payable approval, check signing oversight, and wire transfer authorization- Review financial statements and provide regular portfolio-level financial summaries to the Principal- Manage international financial matters including the French portfolio and accounting team- Legal & Compliance: Serve as point of contact for external legal counsel on real estate mattersRequirements:- Deep experience operating at a senior level in real estate โ€” leases, construction, asset management, brokerage, and property finance- Track record of managing multi-asset real estate portfolios at the executive level- Direct and trusted access to a seasoned principal required; high-EQ leadership styleSalary: $180,000 - $220,000 per year.
