Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Equipment Operator will be responsible for supporting operations and pipeline integrity through assembly, repair, and maintenance. The Equipment Operator will work with equipment such as heavy trucks, power tools, and heavy machinery. This role will work with Pipeline Operations to learn how to assist and implement various components of pipeline maintenance and corrosion control programs.
Special focus will be placed on:
  • Secure and safely transport equipment according to DOT regulations Assist in the duties relative to the operation and maintenance of pipelines.
  • Work with Pipeline Operations to perform general housekeeping and maintenance activities around facilities and sites, including, but not limited to, DOT pipeline assets, road crossings, and rights-of-way.
  • Move pipes to and from job sites using trucks, trailers, motorized lifts, or by hand
  • Install and make repairs to oil and produced water tanks
  • Supply equipment to rigs as requested and aid plugging operations
  • General site location maintenance of ground and buildings in addition to performing general clean-up duties on well site locations and/or at the facility
  • Assist with clean-up of oil spills and environmental remediation
  • Operate a variety of machines including but not limited to: Dozers, Excavators, Backhoes, Skid steers, and telehandlers
  • Patrol pipelines to locate leaks, using electronic detectors and by making visual inspections, and repair the leaks
  • Perform general Equipment Operator and Roustabout duties

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience 2+ years of oil and gas operations experience required
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL License
  • Must be able to pass all DOT physical requirements and have a current medical card

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another. This includes the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself (e.g., to stoop, kneel, or squat) to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend (e.g., ladders or uneven terrain)
  • Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
  • Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
  • Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back. Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in performance of work
  • Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights
  • Lifts or carries 75 lbs. or more, which falls into the "heavy" category (over 50 pounds).
  • Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 100 ft./lbs.
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions. The position requires the ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments, encompassing the essential physical requirements and efforts outline
