Job description

Seeking a Landman with extensive experience reviewing oil and gas leases and interpreting lease provisions. This role is responsible for analyzing lease language, identifying key contractual obligations, summarizing lease provisions, and supporting land administration and development activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong contract interpretation skills, a thorough understanding of oil and gas lease terms, and experience identifying clauses that impact operations, development, pooling, royalty obligations, and lease maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze oil and gas leases
  • Interpret lease provisions and contractual obligations
  • Identify clauses affecting development and operations
  • Summarize lease terms and prepare lease analysis reports
  • Evaluate pooling, unitization, depth severance, and continuous development provisions
  • Review royalty, shut-in, and lease maintenance clauses
  • Support land administration and operational teams
  • Maintain accurate lease records and documentation
  • Communicate findings to project teams and clients
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of lease analysis deliverables
Required Qualifications
  • Oil and gas lease analysis experience
  • Strong understanding of lease provisions and terminology
  • Experience interpreting complex contractual language
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong written communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
