Job description

The Sales Representative develops new sales opportunities and maintains sales relationships with all levels and sizes of customers. This position will have successful communication skills to sell products and services to existing and new customers in the oil field. This is a completions services focused position and a strong customer following and level of experience around well completions is preferred.
Success in this role will be the ability to expand the scope of well services and completions packaging services offerings to existing customers and prospective clients. This position will be expected to continually establish and maintain strong customer relationships to help build this growing private-equity backed oil field completions focused services company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Promote company capabilities and reputation through customer visits, services demonstrations, presentations and sales literature
  • Conduct regular site visits to new and existing customer rig locations each week
  • Actively manage and grow customer accounts at the field level
  • Cultivate strong relationships within assigned regions to gain strategic positioning, retain existing business, and expand revenue opportunities
  • Knowledge and understanding of customer requirements per specifications
  • Negotiate and close out contracts at profitable margins, including coordination with Operations teams
  • Communicate with Operations teams on new service and packaging ideas and status of service crew capabilities
  • Learn from project close out feedback to improve future capabilities
  • Evaluate market intelligence data and verify customer communications
  • Process customer quotes and order requests and communicate with appropriate departments, e.g. sales, operations, finance
  • Handles, adjusts or coordinates complaints concerning billing or service rendered
  • Drive new business prospects and monitor competitor activities
  • Ability to work independently and work together as a member of the Sales team

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Bachelors degree preferred; or in lieu of college degree will consider a combination of college education or technical field training education and minimum five (5) years of demonstrated oil field well services sales.
  • Proven sales experience across well completions and oil field service lines
  • Comprehensive, specialized technical knowledge of company's products and services, customer requirements and competitive market
  • Knowledgeable market contacts and customer connections
  • Excellent communication, marketing and negotiating skills
  • Extensive understanding of customer requirements and market conditions
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or sales management database systems
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to travel extensively to Axis and customer locations
