Description:

Litman Excavating, Inc. is looking for Supervisors who are honest, dependable, hardworking, and have experience in one or more of the following areas: installing water lines, Oil and Gas industry, and/or Slip repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish.
  • Responsible for providing direct in-field supervision of crew members on all phases of the project.
  • Job efficiency through accurate job planning and timely layouts working with your Project Manager.
  • Complete job handoff with the Project Manager before the start of new projects to understand expectations and daily/weekly project deadlines.
  • Complete an accurate daily journal, in the online portal, of events on the job. Photographs are to be included of the work performed.
  • Enter time for crew and equipment daily via our online portal.
  • Ensure Operators fill out pre-shift equipment checklist.
  • Communicate with the maintenance shop manager about any equipment needs.
  • Communicate staffing needs to Field Supervisor, Project Manager, and HR.
  • Participate in pre-con meetings and conference calls as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Ensure paperwork is turned in daily.
  • Maintain good communication with the Project Manager, and support staff to ensure timely and effective needs and closure of the job site and all proper documentation is completed.
  • Must be able to handle and address all employee issues and concerns with HR, and Field Supervisor. Including evaluations and write-ups.
  • Communicates with payroll when a question arises about an employee to make sure the employee is paid accurately.
  • Reports all accidents and incidents to the Safety Supervisor immediately and assists with the investigation to determine root-cause.
  • Is responsible for the site/project safety, and of each crew member.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving efficiency of their crew members.
  • Set daily expectations for crew performance and manage the crew members and equipment including rental equipment.
Requirements:

Prefer 5 yrs. of experience in related fields.

Understanding of schedules and budgets

Ability to lead a team.

Utility Work Experience.
