Job Description
PIRTEK is hiring for a Hose Assembly & Installation Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in varying environmental conditions. This is a messy job that requires manual labor and on-call hours (on-call with incentive pay), so dedication and grit is essential.
We are looking for highly driven and self-sufficient individuals with excellent communication and customer service skills. Our most successful Technicians are natural problem solvers, mechanically inclined, enjoy working with their hands, and show passion and perseverance through their work.
Hydraulic and industrial hose experience is NOT required! Each Hose Assembly & Installation Technician is provided complete training on industry knowledge, PIRTEK processes, safety standards, and how to operate your purpose-built mobile service unit. PIRTEK also provides support through a 24/7 hotline for Technicians to ask technical questions.
Responsibilities
Comply with industry and PIRTEK safety standards
Perform local service calls and customer visits
Diagnose and replace faulty hoses and assemblies
Clean or contain spills per regulations
Record service details for accurate invoicing
Maintain tools, equipment, and mobile service unit
Build and sustain customer relationships
Resolve issues on-site and follow up regularly
Participate in rotating On-Call schedule (with incentive pay)
Handle other related duties as assigned
Work Environment
Operate from a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center using a fully equipped mobile workshop van
Provide services within a designated territory
Work in varied environments and conditions
Handle oil, grease, and other substances regularly
Occasional travel for company-paid training
Skills & Abilities Needed
Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and stoop for extended periods
Safely use ladders, steps, and stairs
Mechanical aptitude; skilled with hand tools and specialized equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with a positive attitude
Able to work independently and in a team
Lift up to 50 lbs
Valid license to safely operate a large work van
Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED
• Driver's License with clean driving record
• Experience in industrial development & construction, automobile/ marine/ field mechanics, or a related industry is a plus
• Ability to pass a background check & drug screening
Compensation: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
