The Field Mechanic (Permian) is responsible for maximum performance and efficiency of all electronics (equipment, controls, wiring, etc.) used in our silo operations. Primary responsibilities include testing, troubleshooting, cable building, calibration and repair and maintenance on electronic data acquisition (DAQ)and vega level measurement sensors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and execute maintenance and repair of equipment on customer well locations.
  • Perform thorough diagnostic tests and repairs on wellsite equipment including splicing and cutting heavy duty conveyor belts and related products.
  • Perform repair on equipment with the following systems: mechanical, air systems, hydraulic, automation systems, and electrical up to 480V.
  • Install, configure and update Programmable Logic Controller LC (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) and other electronic equipment and instrumentation.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair of electronic equipment; preventative maintenance.
  • Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components.
  • Use schematics to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems.
  • Document repairs, inspections and testing for all equipment.
  • Assist with rigging up and rigging down equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Oil field experience preferred.
  • Strong and clear communication skills in English.
  • Previous experience in a mechanical or maintenance role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license that meets the Company's insurance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up 50 lbs and occasionally more with assistance of medical devices.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb for extended periods during the workday.
  • Able to work underneath, around, and inside heavy equipment in small spaces.
  • Able to use hands and fingers for gripping, handling tools, operating diagnostic equipment, and performing precise mechanical repairs.
  • Able to frequently reach above shoulder level and below the waist
  • Able to safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, jacks, hoists, and other shop equipment.
  • Able to climb ladders and mount/dismount heavy equipment safety.
  • Able to work in varying environmental conditions including heat, cold, dust, grease, noise, vibration, and exposure to chemicals or fumes.
  • Able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and respirators when required.
  • Able to visually inspect equipment, read gauges and technical manuals, and distinguish colors related to wiring and diagnostics.
