I amp;E Journeyman Electrician (Loveland, CO)
Pay: $38-$42 per hour DOE
Relocation Available

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Journeyman Electrician needs to enjoy teamwork and be reliable, hard-working, is able to lead, and be adaptable to different working environments, including extreme weather environments. Main responsibilities include the safe and careful installation of company products at client sites, adhering to guidelines set forth in the NEC Codebook, blueprints, and the spec book for a project, training and educating apprentices in the use and understanding of the NEC codebook as well as practical application on the job. Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus, as well as, general mechanical aptitude and a familiarity with working with tools.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active Journeyman Electrician’s license required.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Understands the basics of AC/DC electrical fundamentals.
  • Experience with PLC/RTU Instrumentation and Controls and program ladder logic preferred.
  • Experience in the installation of lighting control systems is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
  • General mechanical aptitude and familiarity with working with hand tools.
  • Technical college degree or technical experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to speak, write, and read the English language.
  • Valid driver's license with a good MVR.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for callout on emergency communications outages or problems.
  • Terminate both high and low voltage equipment and cable/wiring.
  • Read blueprints to determine the scope of work and order the correct materials.
  • Assemble and install electrical equipment (i.e. switch gear conduit cable tray explosion proof equipment).
  • Train and educate apprentice level employees in use and practical application of NEC code
  • Is familiar with NFPA 70E guidelines and must be able to practically apply guidelines in the field.
  • Communicate with the customer and (or) General Contractor in the field.
  • May require occasional travel by air or vehicle to out of state locations when requested by Company.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Comply with all safety work procedures in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Prepare, install, and service all company products at client sites, which may include equipment calibrations, troubleshooting, radio installations, instrument and controls programming, performing low-voltage electrical wiring, and performing tank and H2O measurement.
  • Keep accurate records of hours logged, inventory parts used, and services performed.
  • Maintain strong customer service and relations.
WORK CONDITIONS:
  • Able to function in an oil field environment safely and effectively.
  • Able to sit and work at computer keyboard for extended period.
  • Able to perform general office administrative activities of copying, filing, faxing, and using the telephone.
  • Must be able and willing to work in adverse weather (i.e. cold temperatures and high heat)
  • Must be able to work from elevated platforms.
  • Must be able to operate heavy equipment (i.e. scissor lifts, aerial lifts, backhoe etc.).
  • Must be able to bend and cut conduit using hand saws, hand tube bending equipment as well as power and hydraulic cutting and tube bending devices.
  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 60 lbs.
