Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide mechanical, manufacturing and project engineering services. This will include managing the tool designers, test and control systems developers, facilities engineering, and manufacturing/production support personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Schedule workflow and coordinate personnel resources
  • Organize and run complex manufacturing and testing projects
  • Serve as technical interface between design engineering and manufacturing
  • Monitor and advise daily production/ maintenance activities
  • Design and illustrate necessary tools, fixtures, molds, and machines
  • Obtain quotes and place orders
  • Train employees on proper operation of equipment and processes
  • Develop rubber buildup and cure procedures
  • Manage department personnel

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare quotations for new products and tooling
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes
  • Purchase major equipment as necessary
  • Develop procedures for production, assembly, molding, and testing
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Selection of employees who possess the qualities, technical skills and experience will enable them to become effective and successful contributors.
  • Create a working environment that actively develops and encourages employees to achieve their maximum potential and overcome deficiencies through education and on-the-job training.
  • Lead and influence the activity of employees in a desired direction; demonstrate the ability to inspire support, trust and loyalty from your employees.
  • Promote teamwork and distribute work among subordinates to ensure the achievement of group objectives within the expected time frame.
  • Ability to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of personnel and differentiate between levels of on-the-job proficiency of subordinates to maintain an efficient and successful staff.
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS degree (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred) with at least 7 years of engineering and tooling design experience, or at least 11 years of extensive experience in engineering and tooling design without a degree.
  • CAD software experience (AutoCAD/Solidworks)
  • Advanced mathematical capabilities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel
  • Knowledge of basic plant operations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged sitting
  • Occasional prolonged standing
  • Occasional bending and lifting
  • Climbing stairs
