Intertek onshore and offshore surveying services help customers meet engineering, construction and asset record challenges.

What are we looking for?

Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification) Services, is looking for a Survey Technician I to join our Industry Services team in Houston, Texas. Intertek's Industry Services team uses expert technical knowledge of industries such as oil & gas, power generation, renewable energy, chemical, construction and transportation to provide a diverse range of innovative Total Quality Assurance solutions that optimize operations while minimizing risks in quality, safety and cost. Some of our key services include vendor inspection, site construction services, asset integrity management, non-destructive & materials testing, 3D laser scanning & dimensional control and energy & water consulting services.

This position will travel at least 50% of the time

Shift/Schedule:  8 am to 5 pm daily, with occasional overtime

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record is required
  • An aptitude for math, computer technology, construction, reading plans, etc.
  • Willing to learn and take direction from senior Surveyors
  • Comfortable working within the oil and gas industry both in a plant environment and Offshore
  • Ability to participate in a structured on-the-job training program to develop proficiency in the use of surveying knowledges, skills and abilities
