Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with Salesforce implementation experience to support a 4-month contract engagement in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing Salesforce projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, including onsite and offshore delivery teams, tracking deliverables, and ensuring successful execution across business and technical stakeholders.
This role requires someone who can operate in a fast-paced environment, manage timelines and risks, communicate clearly with leadership, and help drive Salesforce implementation activities from planning through delivery.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project execution for Salesforce implementation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, status reports, RAID logs, and delivery trackers.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, Salesforce developers, architects, administrators, QA teams, third-party vendors, and offshore delivery teams.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, project meetings, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder updates.
  • Track project scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, issues, and action items.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and aligned with business expectations.
  • Coordinate across onsite and offshore teams to ensure smooth execution, clear task ownership, timely handoffs, and delivery alignment across time zones.
  • Support UAT planning, test coordination, defect tracking, and deployment readiness activities.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and escalations to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Drive accountability across project teams and ensure follow-through on assigned tasks.
  • Support change management, documentation, training coordination, and post-go-live stabilization as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of project management experience, preferably in technology or enterprise application projects.
  • Hands-on experience managing Salesforce implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce project lifecycle, including requirements, configuration/development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with offshore or distributed delivery teams is required.
  • Ability to coordinate across onsite and offshore teams, manage handoffs, track deliverables, and ensure clear communication across time zones.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, dependencies, and deadlines.
  • Experience creating project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and delivery dashboards.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model in Reston, VA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce certification or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or related Salesforce products.
  • Experience working with system integrators, offshore teams, or distributed delivery teams.
  • Prior consulting or client-facing project management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar project management tools.
