Overview:
Do you want to be part of U.S

Navy Research and Development offshore on research vessels and ashore in fabrication and test lab facilities. Operate marine ROVs. Support underwater electromagnetic testing.

TMG has an exciting opportunity for a full time Rigger (Mechanical Technician) to support the Navy in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at NAVSEA's South Florida Ocean Measurement RDT&E facility. The Rigger/Mechanical Technician supports underwater test equipment construction and maintenance, associated underwater and shore side assets, marine vehicles, small craft, equipment maintenance and operations.


LOCATION: Fort Lauderdale (Dania Beach), FL
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 1 year of similar work-related experience in a yacht company, Marina, or waterfront environment. Machine shop industrial skills a plus. Any residential, commercial or marine A/C, electrical, or small craft maintenance experience is a plus.

USCG 6-pak captain's license is a plus, or we can assist getting licensed.
Must be fit and have ability to work in technical spaces on board vessels.
We are looking for self-motivated candidates who have the drive and motivation to complete single or multiple projects simultaneously.
Troubleshooting skills or other technical aptitude is a plus. Hands on is a must.
EDUCATION: High school/vocational school diploma or GED certificate.
