Job description

Overview

Installs and maintains electrical and instrument equipment in compliance with all rules and practices. Tests and repairs electrical and instrumentation systems utilized by production equipment to ensure adherence to established performance levels and product quality. Evaluates electrical systems and instruments to establish plans for repair. Documents and verifies problems and actions taken.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrument, and control system issues on production equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company procedures, permits, regulations, and standards.
  • Support maintenance activities through the company Maintenance Program.
  • Review and provide input on control specifications, work practices, and technical procedures.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, projects, and maintenance teams.
  • Provide technical support to other technicians during maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Generate and follow up on Management of Change requests related to electrical and control equipment.
  • Inspect new installations and recommend upgrades when needed.
  • Maintain clear documentation of problems, repairs, and actions taken.
  • Support team training and attend or lead technical meetings as needed.
  • Act as a stand-in for the Instrument and Electrical Lead when needed.
Qualifications
  • 5+ yrs. of I&E Tech experience preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining electrical systems and Instruments and Controls in processing plant or offshore production plant
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate degree preferred, ideally with related technical school coursework.
  • Meets the safety, administrative, and technical training requirements associated with this position as documented in the company operations-approved training roadmap
  • Possesses the general competencies and Operations Integrity Critical competency requirements as documented and maintained in company Operations Training roadmap
  • Computing skills
  • Familiar with regulations applicable to the operations of oil and gas facilities
  • OIMS systems, related manuals, and procedures
  • Safety orientated
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational and reporting skills
  • Attention to details
  • Good troubleshooting and analyzing skills
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, fit for duty and agility.
