Wood isย currentlyย searching forย an experiencedย Subseaย Inspectorย toย workย offshore and onshore onย contract,ย supportingย aย varietyย of projects. ย Field Engineering & Inspection Solutions is a business area which is very dynamic, and we require a an Inspector to support our versatile market. ย We currently expect the contract to last 24 months.

Theย Subsea Inspectorย role is best suited to independent contractors, who are open to a contract for one year or more. ย The ideal candidate will have experienceย inย theย offshore oilย &ย gasย industry,ย haveย previousย experienceย inย subseaย inspections and is interested in working from a vessel or at the remote operations center in Houston for multiple weeks.

Currently,ย weย areย consideringย qualifiedย candidates,ย orย thoseย whoย areย authorizedย toย workย lawfully inย theย US, without sponsorship from Wood.\

  • Mustย haveย (orย beย ableย toย obtain withinย 14ย days) offshoreย Health,ย Safety Security,ย Environmentalย andย Assurance (HSSEA) requirements, such as: Offshore physical, BOSIET / HUET, TWIC, etc.
  • Physicallyย capableย of liftingย 50lbsย orย moreย toย assist inย theย mobilizationย andย demobilizationย ofย campaigns Must pass a background check and DOT drug screening.
  • Visually inspect various topside and subsea oil and gas industry components both on and offshore, under the direct supervision of an Inspection Operations Lead or Project Manager
  • Carry out offshore inspection campaigns for three or more weeks at a time.
  • Generate inspection reports congruent with client requests and applicable codes and standards.
  • Learn and utilize NEXUS IC or equivalent software and hardware, computer-based data management system including hardware, software and troubleshooting.
  • Be able to conduct a clear and concise, live video commentary during inspection campaignsย 
  • Assist with the mobilization and demobilization of inspection equipment.
  • Assist in preparing work packs and database generation for offshore inspection campaigns and complete the review of video and reports post campaign.
