Job description

The offshore Field Deployment Lead (FDL) is responsible for the implementation, rig adoption and onsite client support of Digital Drilling Solutions at the Rig site. The FDL provides digital drilling product support to end users to achieve the improved drilling performance, procedural adherence and less human intervention in drilling activities. The FDL will provide technical and drilling expertise on how to maximize value of the digital tools to the customer while adjusting our solution to work along with any Rig Control System at the rig.

In addition, FDL will capture software enhancements ideas and communicate to the digital organization. FDL will be first point of contact for customers representative and rig operators at the rig site who will guide them through Digital Drilling change and adoption management process. This position establishes trusted advisor relationship with customer and understands their technical challenges.

FDL with in-depth knowledge ensure the quality of service delivery on assigned projects. Responsible for creating reference documents as per project's scope of work and ensuring all onboarding checklist/gates are fulfilled before the start of the operation. Project Deployment planning at offshore and DW facilities including: Develop deployment plans, schedules, and software & hardware requirements.

Coordinate field mobilization and installation activities with the clients. Ensure hardware, software, and connectivity requirements are met before deployment. Manage deployment risks and mitigation plans.

Oversee pilot programs and full-scale rollouts. Deliver the project by; Ensure compliance with HSE and company operational standards. Perform technical assessments during installation and commissioning.

Install hardware as per the approved deployment plan. Perform software validation and commissioning according to the SOP. Coach and train field engineers, specialists, or deployment teams.

Execute automated data loading procedures, computation of Rig states / Drill states and all relevant well construction KPIs. Checking results of the computations and configuring computation parameters. Resolve field execution challenges and escalate critical issues when necessary.

Execute drilling performance analysis of wells in drilling and offset wells analysis, identify improvement potential, make recommendations, provide final reporting and presentations for each customer project. Collect and manage end-user requirements for software and services, Identify main features required for drilling performance analysis and reporting. Develop workflows, usability recommendations with consultation from drilling domain.

Verify that deployed systems meet technical and operational requirements. Conduct acceptance testing and operational readiness reviews. Ensure data quality, system integration, and performance standards are achieved.

Capture lessons learned and best practices. Act as the primary interface Between with Customers, Field Operations teams, Engineering teams and Service delivery organizations. For incident escalation, resolution, and investigation.

Ensure a process of continuous improvement. Communicate deployment status, risks, and milestones. Manage customer expectations throughout the deployment lifecycle.

Assist DOS Portfolio in maximizing user adoption, solution utilization and system/solution availability with minimal interruption. Remain current on new technologies and participate in testing and acceptance of digital technology workflows and features. Participate in service quality meetings and investigations when required.

Engage actively in knowledge sharing to share best practices, lessons learned, and technical knowledge within SLB technical community.
