Sr AWS Engineer - Enterprise Services Integration

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. AWS Developer with a robust background in AWS, Node.js, and TypeScript to join our Enterprise Services Integrations team. This candidate should have 10+ years of experience in AWS development, cloud solution designs, and application development using Node.js and TypeScript. The role will involve creating and deploying advanced AWS-based enterprise integration solutions, ensuring optimum functionality, and interfacing with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust cloud architectures. The ideal candidate should also be proficient in Agile Scrum methodologies and have extensive experience working with offshore developers, ensuring effective collaboration and seamless project delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. AWS Cloud Development and Management
  • Design, create, and manage cloud applications and services using AWS services (including SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, and Lambda), Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and resilience of our cloud-based solutions.
  • Continuously refine and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure and application design.

2. CI/CD Pipeline Integration
  • Integrate and optimize CI/CD pipelines for AWS application deployments.
  • Use automation tools, AWS SDKs, and Node.js to streamline and augment deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with the development, operations, and offshore teams to implement best practices for AWS-based software delivery using TypeScript.

3. Cloud Monitoring and Maintenance
  • Monitor AWS service performance using tools like CloudWatch, addressing potential challenges proactively.
  • Deploy AWS monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure application and service health.
  • Regularly audit AWS services and resources, suggesting and implementing improvements.

4. Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering, DevOps, and offshore development teams to ensure seamless cloud solution integrations.
  • Engage with stakeholders to comprehend requirements and engineer fitting AWS solutions.
  • Actively participate in Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

5. Continuous Learning and AWS Evolution
  • Remain updated on the latest AWS services, Node.js, TypeScript features, and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate and integrate new AWS tools, Node.js libraries, and TypeScript practices to boost operational and development efficiency.
  • Drive the organization's cloud-first strategies and AWS-centric innovations.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in AWS development and architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, and Lambda, SDKs, and best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience with AWS-based container solutions like AWS ECS, AWS Fargate, and EKS.
  • Proven experience in Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Extensive experience working with and managing offshore developers, with the ability to coordinate and collaborate across multiple time zones.
  • Certified AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer.
  • Experience with Enterprise Data Integrations would be a significant advantage.

The salary range for this opportunity is $110,000 - $158,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
