Job Description

Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 4 month contract to hire with no fee

Must have Top Skills: Azure or AWS- must have an active CISSP

Details: They are a Government Integrator

1. 10 years of experience in information security- public sector

2. Experience with cloud and hybrid systems and architectures, understanding of AWS and Azure

3. 3 of days of Telecommuting - Work in Arlington 2 Days

o Computers and Materials provided

4. US Citizen must be able to obtain a Public Trust

5. CISSP or Associate CISSP (if neither certification is held, then a minimum of 5 years' DHS experience is required)

6. Associates degree or higher (if no degree, 2 years of additional experience is desired)

7. Knowledge of security tools, security architecture, and NIST security standards and compliance measurements

About the Role:

The ISSO performs system security activities and consulting on new and existing systems in support of the United States government.

Responsibilities:

Develop system security plans

Evaluate implementation of existing security controls

Conduct security risk assessments and security impact assessments

Remediate security vulnerabilities

Make recommendations to customers to enhance cybersecurity

Perform continuous monitoring activities in accordance with RMF

Develop IT contingency plans and conduct testing

Developing Security Assessment Reports

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in information security with significant support in the public sector

Experience with cloud and hybrid systems and architectures

Understanding of AWS and Azure

Demonstrated experience working in a consultative role for customers

Be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating and ensuring scheduled goals are met

Experience developing and managing the development of system security documentation

Conduct and lead effective vulnerability assessments of networked and stand-alone information systems to the extent of conclusively validating all technical controls found within NIST SP 800-53R3, as well as other DHS requirements

Clearable

Desired Qualifications:

CISSP or equivalent

Experience with Federal civil customers
