Press Operator (Offset)
Location: Fuquay Varina, NC
Shift: 3rd | Sunday - Thursday, 11PM-7AM
Pay: $27.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities for the Press Operator:
The Offset Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, adjusting, and maintaining offset printing press equipment to produce printed materials that meet customer specifications, internal quality standards, and production schedules. This role ensures safe and efficient press operation while minimizing waste, downtime, and rework.

• Set up, operate, adjust, and maintain offset printing press equipment
• Review and interpret job tickets, layouts, and specifications to ensure accuracy
• Perform complete press make ready, including mounting plates and loading materials
• Make the necessary press adjustments to meet print standards
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs of equipment to minimize downtime
• Accurately complete production documentation (downtime or waste)
• Conduct first piece inspections and obtain approval before full production runs
• Continuously monitor print quality and make adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished materials for color consistency, registration, and defects
• Maintain strong housekeeping and safety standards (5S, PPE, GMP where applicable)
• Support training and development of Press Helpers
Requirements for the Press Operator:
• Clean criminal background (no felony convictions)
• Clean drug screen
• Minimum 2 years of offset press operation experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with sheetfed offset, UV, LED UV, or similar press equipment preferred.
• Working knowledge of color management, registration, and print quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders/job tickets.
• Strong math skills and measurement proficiency, attention to detail, and problem solving ability
• Comfortable standing for an 8 hour shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Previous printing experience strongly preferred
